Unbeeten Path

Unbeeten Path was a 2.5d collaborative assignment made in Unreal.

Unbeeten Path was created as part of a university assessment that tasked a class of 28 creative tech students with developing a game in 12 weeks. The original idea and concept of the game was created by me and voted on by the class to go forward as the chosen project!

My role was to develop the worldbuilding and visual feel of the world to be cohesive across levels. This included environmental storytelling, concept art, technical art, level design, and more. I managed a team of 9-12 artists, modellers, and designers to create the world for the game.

I also developed two shaders for Unbeeten Path: a Kuwahara shader and a simple Crosshatching shader.

By the end of the project, I had grown creatively and worked massively in improving my collaboration skills, having coordinated a team for delivery each sprint. I swiftly handled low motivation and work output amongst my team, and fostered a transparent critique process by encouraging communication and discussion.
